Sedatives
Sedatives depress the nervous system, causing drawsiness; loss of concentration, judgement and momory; disorientation, and, in severe cases, unconsciousness. Note that alcohol is included in this category. Its initial apparent stimulatory effect is due to early inhibition of certain part of the brain.
